Nocturne Gallery¶
Nocturne catalogs media stored on Whrrr and serves browsing from a local SQLite catalog on the PC. Discovered entries can appear before previews are ready. Scrapers remain unchanged, and originals are mounted read-only.
Synchronization rollout¶
The existing scanner remains the production default. The incremental consumer is disabled until NAS compatibility, a representative 24-hour shadow trial, scraper throughput, and reconciliation performance pass the acceptance gates. Local fixture and database benchmarks do not establish those NAS results.
The proposed NAS helper uses Watchman for metadata discovery and a durable change feed, with periodic inventory reconciliation for recovery. Access is restricted to an authenticated private SSH tunnel. Incomplete or unhealthy inventories cannot establish deletions; annotations remain in the catalog.
